How watchlists, tags, and teams work across Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans.

Watchlist & Notifications

Your Watchlist tracks the CA contractor licenses you care about and alerts you the same day the CSLB reports a change.

Each license on your watchlist has its own notification preference, which is always set per person — even on a shared team watchlist:

  • All changes — every update, including minor ones (address, qualifier, classification).
  • Critical only — suspensions, bond cancellations, insurance lapses, and other urgent changes.
  • None — the license stays on your list, but you won't get emails about it.

On a team account (Pro or Enterprise), licenses your teammates watch can show up on your Watchlist too, marked Watched by … read-only. Your own notification preference for a shared license is independent — click + Track for me on any shared entry to start getting your own alerts for it without affecting anyone else's.

Tags

Tags let you color-code and filter your watchlist by project, trade, risk tier, or however else you work. Available on Pro and Enterprise; not available on Free.

Pro

Tags are fully shared across your team. Every accepted team member — owner, admin, or member — sees the same tags and can create, rename, recolor, or delete any of them. No admin/member distinction here; it's fully collaborative.

Enterprise

Tags are fine-grained. Only the team owner and admins can create or manage tags. Regular members see nothing by default — an admin must explicitly grant a member access to a specific tag before that member can see licenses carrying it.

Teams & Roles

Teams let multiple people share license monitoring under one plan. Manage your team from the Team page.

Admin

Can invite and remove team members, and change member roles. On Enterprise, admins also create tags and control who can see them.

Team Member

Can view (and on Pro, help organize) the team's shared watchlist and tags, but can't invite or remove other members.

Seats: Pro includes 5 total seats, and the team owner occupies one of them — so a Pro team can invite up to 4 additional people. Enterprise has unlimited seats.

Sharing model: Pro is flat — every seat sees the entire team's watchlist and tags. Enterprise is fine-grained — admins control exactly which tagged licenses each member can see.

Plans & Limits

Free

Up to 3 licenses, individual account only — no teams or tags.

Pro

Up to 20 licenses — shared across the whole team, not per person. A license two teammates both watch only counts once.

Enterprise

Unlimited licenses, unlimited seats.

Billing

Billing is tied to the team owner's subscription. If you're an invited team member, your Profile page will show that your plan is managed by your team's owner — contact them for upgrades, seat changes, or payment updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — there's no separate "per person" limit on a team. The plan's watchlist limit is one shared pool for the whole team. A license already watched by a teammate doesn't use up any of your capacity; only genuinely new licenses do.
Yes. Click + Track for me on any shared watchlist entry to create your own subscription with your own notification preference. It won't change or remove your teammate's preference — each person's alerts are independent.
On Pro, anyone on the team can create, rename, recolor, or delete a team tag. On Enterprise, only the owner and admins can — regular members can only use tags they've been explicitly granted access to.
You'll get an email invite with a signup link that pre-fills your email address. Once you create your account, you're automatically linked to the team — no separate "accept" step needed.

You can only remove your own subscription to a license. If a teammate added it, removing your own tracking doesn't take it off their watchlist — it's still theirs to manage.
